The agreement, in plain language.

These terms govern your use of digitaliate.com and any services provided by Digitaliate ("we", "us"). By engaging our services or using this site, you agree to these terms.
1. Services
Digitaliate provides website design, website redesign, Local SEO, AEO/GEO, SEO and digital-presence/social services. The specific scope, deliverables and price for any engagement are confirmed in writing (proposal, quote or agreement) before work begins.
2. Engagement terms and billing
One-time projects (such as website builds) are billed per the agreed schedule, typically a deposit followed by milestone or completion payments. Ongoing services (such as Local SEO or AEO/GEO) are billed monthly and run month-to-month after an initial minimum term, typically three months, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3. Cancellation
After any minimum term, either party may cancel an ongoing engagement with 30 days' written notice. One-time projects may be cancelled before completion; work delivered up to that point is billed accordingly.
4. Client responsibilities
Timely delivery depends on you providing requested content, access credentials, feedback and approvals within reasonable timeframes. Delays on your side may extend project timelines accordingly.
5. Ownership
Upon final payment, you own the final website files, content and assets created specifically for your project. Digitaliate retains ownership of any pre-existing tools, templates or internal frameworks used to build it.
6. No guaranteed rankings or AI citations
We do not control third-party algorithms — Google, Bing, ChatGPT, Perplexity or any other platform. We do not guarantee specific search rankings, traffic levels or AI citation results. We do guarantee that agreed work will be carried out to a professional standard, following current best practice. Our Local SEO, SEO and AEO/GEO work focuses on organic improvements — it does not include paid backlink placement, and we expect any link-building or outreach activity, whether by us or by you, to follow the applicable search engine's own guidelines rather than manipulative or spammy tactics.
7. Our content
Blog posts, guides and other content we publish on this site are for your own reading and reference. Please don't republish, plagiarize or repost our articles (in full or as "complete tutorials") on your own site or elsewhere without our written permission — you're welcome to link to us or quote a short excerpt with credit.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Digitaliate's liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service in question during the preceding three months.
9. Confidentiality
We treat client business information shared with us as confidential and use it only to deliver the agreed services, unless you give permission to reference the work publicly (for example, in a case study).
10. Governing terms
These general terms apply alongside any specific proposal or agreement signed for your project; where the two conflict, the signed agreement takes precedence.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
