The Art Galaxy: 18 service pages redesigned, 100+ pages verified by hand.
The Art Galaxy's resin art site had grown organically for years — three competing fonts, a sitemap silently broken in Google's eyes, hreflang gaps across languages, and a mobile nav that broke on desktop. Here's the technical cleanup and design refresh that fixed it, with every change verified before it shipped.
The Art Galaxy is a home-based resin art studio in Jabalpur run by artist Shilpa Amit Shrivastava, spanning 18+ services — wedding varmala preservation, baby memory keepsakes, custom nameplates, resin jewellery — each needing its own page to explain the process, pricing and materials to a mostly local, WhatsApp-first customer base.
Before Digitaliate, after Digitaliate
- Three competing typefaces, no consistent hierarchy
- A broken sitemap silently rendering as flat text to Google
- Hreflang gaps — Hindi and Marathi pages not credited to English versions
- Mobile navigation collapsing into a hamburger menu at desktop widths
- Cramped, square-cropped hero images across all 18 service pages
- One consolidated, purposeful typeface used consistently for hierarchy
- Sitemap bug fixed — traced to an XML namespace conflict, not the MIME-type issue it first looked like
- Hreflang complete across English, Hindi and Marathi
- Desktop navigation fixed, mobile layout regression resolved
- All 18 service pages redesigned around full-width landscape product photography
The challenge, the approach and the results
A single font system had crept up to three typefaces, a broken sitemap was silently rendering as flat text in Google's eyes, key pages were missing hreflang tags so the Hindi and Marathi versions weren't being credited to their English counterparts, and the mobile navigation was collapsing into a hamburger menu at desktop widths — undermining a site that needed to look premium enough to justify handmade pricing.
- Sitemap bug, root-caused. Traced to an XML namespace conflict, not the MIME-type issue it first looked like — and fixed at the source.
- Hreflang gaps closed. Complete coverage across English, Hindi and Marathi, and the type system consolidated down to one purposeful typeface.
- All 18 service pages redesigned. New landscape product photography replacing cramped, square-cropped heroes, so the actual work speaks for itself.
- Trust and pricing clarity. Trust badges (MSME, Google Business, IndiaMART) restyled into a scannable row, and pricing centered and emphasized so it reads at a glance.
- Verified, not eyeballed. A full filesystem cross-check of internal links across 100+ pages, automated JSON parsing to validate structured data on every page, and real computed-style inspection to confirm CSS fixes.
A site that's technically sound for search — clean sitemap, complete hreflang, valid structured data on every page — visually consistent across three languages, and built around how customers actually convert: a single, prominent WhatsApp number and clear, emphasized pricing on every page.
See it live
- 18 redesigned service pages — full-width landscape product photography
- Clean, valid sitemap — the XML namespace conflict fixed at the source
- Complete hreflang — English, Hindi and Marathi, correctly cross-credited
- One consistent typeface — consolidated from three, used purposefully for hierarchy
A site that's grown organically for years usually has exactly this problem: small issues nobody's checked in a while — a broken sitemap, a hreflang gap, a font system that crept from one typeface to three — quietly undermining work that deserves better. For a site with three languages and dozens of interlinked pages, verifying every fix rather than eyeballing it is what actually catches these before they cost rankings — the same discipline behind our Artists & Creative Studios work.
