HodophileTravels: from a broken, 10–15 second-loading site to one they're proud to show clients.
A travel and events company with over a decade running group tours, medical conferences and events had a website nobody could rely on — broken links, confusing navigation and painfully slow load times. Here's how a complete redesign changed that.
Hodophile is a small team of friends who built the company around one idea: always being closer to travel. Between them they've spent more than a decade running group tours, medical conferences (MICE) and events. They found Digitaliate through our portfolio page and reached out on WhatsApp — already burned once by a website that was actively working against them.
Before Digitaliate, after Digitaliate
- Links that didn't work
- Navigation that made no sense
- Fonts and colors that didn't match the brand
- 10–15 second page load times
- A site they were embarrassed to show clients
- Complete redesign, built from scratch instead of patched
- Fast-loading pages, on any connection
- Same brand fonts & colors carried through, kept consistent
- Google Business Profile reviews shown on the site
- A site they now show to anyone with confidence
The challenge, the approach and the results
They'd already paid someone to build a website, and it made things worse, not better. Links led nowhere, navigation was confusing, fonts and colors were off-brand, and pages took 10–15 seconds to load. For a service business that lives on client trust, that's not a website — it's a liability. It had gotten bad enough that they'd stopped showing it to prospective clients altogether.
- Complete redesign. Rather than trying to fix a broken foundation, we rebuilt the site from scratch — new structure, new navigation, every link checked and working.
- Performance fix. The pages that used to take 10–15 seconds to load now load fast, on any connection.
- Brand consistency. We kept the fonts and colors they already had, so the redesign felt like an upgrade, not a different company.
- Google reviews, on-site. We pulled their Google Business Profile reviews directly onto the website, so social proof is visible without leaving the page.
- Revision rounds. Delivered over about a month, refined across 2–3 rounds of revisions with their team.
The difference wasn't just technical. Before, the team avoided showing their website to clients. Now they show it to anyone, without hesitation. It loads quickly, the navigation makes sense, and the Google reviews on the page back up the reputation they'd already built running tours and events for over a decade.
See it live
- Fast-loading pages — no more 10–15 second waits
- Google Business Profile reviews — shown directly on the site
- Consistent brand fonts & colors — carried through every page
- Fully working navigation & links — checked across the whole site
Hodophile's problem is more common than it should be: a website that technically exists but actively works against the business behind it — slow, broken, off-brand, and something the team would rather not show anyone. The fix usually isn't a few quick patches; it's a proper rebuild, done once, with the brand kept consistent throughout — the same approach behind our Website Redesign service.
